Hometown: Minocqua

Hobbies & interests: I enjoy hiking, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, and having fun adventures in nature. I'm usually listening to podcasts and reading about everything to do with college admissions and leadership development. Fun fact: I don't like the taste of coffee but I could spend all day working on my laptop in a coffee shop.

What attracted you to join Rotary? Rotary has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad is a long time member of Rotary in Minocqua, and my sister was an exchange student through Rotary. I'm excited to connect with members of the Marshfield community and be a part of making this a great place for everyone. I believe engagement and participation is critical for creating successful communities.

What else would you like the club to know about you? My wife and I are both originally from Wisconsin and we moved to Marshfield in February. I am an Independent Educational Consultant and I'm passionate about helping young people make thoughtful, informed decisions about their future. I have led leadership events for hundreds of students around the US and in Canada for over 20 years. I graduated from UW-Madison in mechanical engineering and my wife, Crystal, is a genetic counselor, and we have a super mutt named Derby who leads us on long hikes.
